Is it worth investing $62.6 to start a blog?

Is it worth investing $62.6 to start a blog? Currently, I don’t have an answer to this question. But I will have the answer for sure in a year. I invested this amount in a domain and hosting for a blog, which I am starting on February 9, 2024.

I always wanted to start a blog, but it took me years. Back then, when I was in Nepal, I tried it a couple of times, but I couldn’t, and my excuse was how I would pay in dollars. Making international payments is not easy in Nepal, but I think it is nothing but my excuse because, at that time, there were numerous bloggers in my country. But I finally did it. And I feel glad that I did it.

Why do I want to start blogging? Simple, I love writing.

I arrived in Canada on December 20, 2023, pursuing my MBA at the University Canada West (UCW). I worked as a journalist back then, so now I crave a place to bleed my words. I applied for numerous positions for writers, but nobody cared about it in Canada. Why not start my blog? I don’t know where it will take me, but I am glad I created; as always said, ‘A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single footstep.’

The question might arise: Why didn’t I start it in February?

There are two plain answers: I am reading the book ‘Show Your Work’ by Austin Kleon, and I think the book is more than enough for every starter to start a blogging journey. I will talk more about the book in the following days. Second is my professor, Mike Koziol. Mike teaches us Business Ethics at UCW, and for the past few weeks, I have been asking him what to sell. He keeps telling me to find what you are passionate about and just start expressing. His theory is simple 3C’s: Content, Content, and Content. These are the two reasons I’m building a blog.

I currently don’t have a job and don’t know when I will find one. However, investing 62.6 dollars in a blog took me a lot of effort. But I am one hundred percent sure that I won’t regret it later.

This is my first blog. I know it is a scratch, and I also know that every great piece of art starts with a scratch.
